Work can be sympathetic to the original design or tailored to the person who will use it.

How I work
Each piece is assessed on its own terms. I’ll explain what I recommend, why, and the options available. The aim is a chair that is strong, comfortable and made to be used.

Repairs
I repair and rebuild worn furniture. Work can include frame repairs, spring replacement and renewing internal stuffing. Pieces are stripped back where needed so the structure can be inspected and repaired before reupholstery.
The aim is to make the furniture sound, comfortable and suitable for continued use, while respecting the form of the original piece and the requirements of the customer.
Reupholstery
Reupholstery is available for both refreshes and full rebuilds.
A range of upholstery fabrics is available, and I’ll advise on suitability based on wear, comfort and use.
Bespoke work
Bespoke work is available where you want changes to comfort, size or finish. We’ll agree the brief, materials and proportions before work begins.

I work mainly on chairs and seating. Some pieces may not be suitable for repair or rebuilding, and I’ll say so if that’s the case.

Our Journey
Who We Are
I've been in business as an upholsterer for 10 years and have trained on a piece based format in a village hall, taken masterclasses in particular techniques and more lately completed structured training modules with Anthony Devine.
I take my practice seriously and aim to produce the highest quality finish possible
I can produce eco refurbishments with natural and sustainable products.
I've also worked on a vegan product that replaces animal based products (wool and hair) with synthetic or plant alternatives
I will work hard to deliver your project to a high standard and within your timescales where possible
